Goliath is a name used by several characters in Marvel Comics, most notably by Hank Pym.
Henry "Hank" Pym first appeared as Ant-Man in *Tales to Astonish* #27 (January 1962). He later adopted the identity of Giant-Man in *Tales to Astonish* #49 (November 1963).
Pym, a brilliant scientist, discovered "Pym Particles," which allow him to alter his size. Using this technology, he could grow to enormous heights as Giant-Man and later used the name Goliath to signify these powers.
